Bandizip is a specialized software to compress files and to extract files from archives. It provides a high speed of compression and supports all popular formats to extract files. The Windows version is free, also available as a portable program and they also provide a version for Mac users available through Apple Store for a minimum fee.

Through a simple and well organized interface, you can test archives to see if there is any error (useful before sending archive to others), use drag and drop to add files to an existing archive or to current one, split archive by a maximum value (there are pre-defined sizes corresponding to various devices or you can enter a custom value in MB, GB..).

It allows to choose between different compression methods to achieve a smaller file size or you can choose no compression to make a simple archive.

The program is available through right click menu, but also has its own interface where you can change different options. Choose which columns are enabled or not, associate the program with certain and specific file types, customize right click menu and more.

It supports password encryption with option to view it in plain text.
