BitZipper is a file archivator and extractor with a good extraction speed and a compression speed below the average.
Isn't a very fast compressor, there are many free programs better that it.
Is very good when is extracting files from an archive.
Cannot create 7Z archives, a popular format and very useful to reduce file sizes.
Very good support for a large range of file types, but doesn't recognize ZIPX format through right click context menu.
Unlike other programs, when you create an archive through right click context menu, it doesn't provide any options and prompts you to choose the location where archive will be saved.
On its interface you can choose the Wizard mode (useful for beginners) or use the classic mode where you can create a new archive (.zip, .tar, .gz, .tbz, .cab ..), open an existing one, split an existing archive into multiple parts or process in batch mode multiple archives (extract, create self-extracting archives, convert them to another formats).
It provides an advanced search menu to find files by name and extension.
At Preferences it allows to enable or disable columns for its interface, customize toolbar, set default folders for archive creation and extraction, reset settings to default values.
It has a good extraction speed, but lacks at compression speed and the ability to create .7z archives.
