PrimoPDF is another alternative to convert a file to PDF. It works as a virtual printer and once you choose Ctrl+P, then PrimoPDF, the program will generate a new PDF file.

The program has a friendly interface, but you don't have too many advanced options. You can add some metadata information and set a password to prevent document opening and/or printing and editing.

You can choose different options to change the quality of images and to in this way to reduce the file size of the PDF.

There are faster PDF printers.
